The appliances were carefully planned into the new layout so that
everything is within easy reach. Just a turn from the iland is a Lacanche range cooker,
while the sink, dishwasher and fridge freezer have been grouped together to make food preparation
and cleaning up easier for Michelle. The smart dishwasher bought in by Simon is one of her favourite
features. 'It's raised up so I'm not bending down all the time to load it' she says.
With hardwearing surfaces the order of the day, Michelle chose tough granite
for the worktops and creamy limestone for the floor. 'Both materials are easy to clean and look
fantastic' she says.
Michelle's kitchen is two years old now, but still looks as good as the day it
was completed. It's been a hugh it with the family and friends. 'I'm pleased with every aspect of it,
but especially the island' she smiles. 'When friends pop in, they like to sit here, which enables me to cook
and socialise at the same time. It's an ingenious piece of furniture'.
