Trendwatch: Brushed Brass

TRENDWATCH 2022: BRUSHED BRASS

An alloy of copper and zinc, brass has for centuries been used in the home because of its strength and durability and also for its warm golden colour. It isn’t just the colour of the metal that is in fashion for 2022, but the texture, and brushed brass is the big accessory trend for kitchens and bathrooms.

Two of our latest projects feature brushed brass handles and accessories. Our Ashridge bespoke Shaker kitchen features cup and pull handles in a traditional style to suit this perennially popular cabinetry style. Our Tring luxury bespoke ensuite bath and shower room features white furniture and brushed brass including the light fittings, the brassware inside the shower enclosure and the hinges that go with it. When set against a pure white background like our Tring bathroom, or the media cabinet in the Ashridge living space, the contrasting finishes look smart and stylish. Alternatively, when put together with a very dark background, like the Farrow & Ball Stewkey Blue hand-painted cabinetry in the Ashridge kitchen, the result is spectacular.

At Simon Taylor Furniture, we have dedicated area in our showroom that showcases all the jewellery for your kitchen bedroom or bathroom. Neatly displayed in a mid-century antique haberdashery cabinet, we can recommend many different handles and accessories in lots of different finishes and textures. We will also source them as part of your project.

At Simon Taylor Furniture all of our kitchens, bedrooms, bathrooms and furniture pieces are truly bespoke. For more information about your next refurbishment project, please get in touch.
