The Benefits of a Quooker Tap
By Simon Taylor
I have always been a fan of the Quooker brand. Even before Quooker was available here in the UK, I used to import the first Quooker boiling water taps from Holland and Simon Taylor Furniture was one of their first ever UK accounts. Fast-forward to 2023 and Quooker is a major employer in the North West of England, with a head office in Manchester, and it has been awarded as one of the ‘Best Places to Work 2023’ by the Sunday Times.
I am always looking for ways to make my manufacturing and retail business more sustainable. One of the key decisions I made five years ago was to install Quooker taps in our cabinet workshop and in our showroom. With more than 20 staff, we all get through countless cups of tea and coffee every day, and because a Quooker boiling water tap delivers the exact amount of boiling water required every time you make a cup of tea, it is a very energy efficient option compared to heating a kettle. We also no longer have to worry about plastic waste from bottled water because we have a Quooker Cube that delivers hot, cold, 100° boiling water – and also sparkling water, all from the same tap. It really is ‘the tap that does it all.”
When we are designing a bespoke kitchen for a client, we recommend they have a Quooker boiling water tap as it is both an energy efficient and space-saving solution for the home, because you no longer need to have a kettle taking up room on your worktop.
Simon Taylor Furniture is an authorised Quooker retailer, and you can book an appointment for a demonstration at our Bierton showroom.
