A white gloss and walnut kitchen with handmade bench seating

This large bespoke kitchen was for a client who purchased the house from one of our clients with a traditional Simon Taylor kitchen. The original design was replaced with something functional, modern, more contemporary with lots of storage to suit them in their retirement. The kitchen also had a dining area at the other and we were also commissioned to make the semi-circular bench seating beneath the bay window. This conceals the radiators beneath with covers made in American Black Walnut and steel mesh grilles.

The furniture, which includes curved cabinets on the end run was made from high gloss Parapan with a solid American Black Walnut inlay strip. This continues below the drawer line and as a feature along the overhead cupboards with long stainless steel square handles throughout.

Feature storage includes a pull-out larder, American Black Walnut dovetail drawer boxes and cutlery drawers with a beige lining. LED lighting runs directly above the plinth to make a feature of the kitchen at night.

Tall cabinetry along one run of tall cabinetry includes a bank of Miele cooking appliances including a combination microwave, single oven and a warming drawer. At the facing end of the kitchen is a Miele induction hob beneath a concealed canopy extractor and beneath the window is an undermount sink by Rangemaster and tap by Perrin & Rowe. The work surface is Caesarstone Shitake and the splashback is opaque white glass.
